The TV Event of 2022: OSN+ The Exclusive MENA Home for Long Anticipated Series HALO

Hugely anticipated Paramount+ original series Halo will launch exclusively on OSN+ on the 25th of March, the same day as it debuts in the US on Paramount+.

Set in the 26th century, HALO will take place in the universe that first came to be in 2001 with the launch of Xbox®️’s first “Halo” game.

It is set to depict the conflict between humanity and the alien threat known as The Covenant, weaving deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future.

Navigating the landscape from game mechanics to filmed entertainment, main character Master Chief John – 117 played by American Gods’ Pablo Schreiber is a genetically enhanced Spartan supersoldier encased in advanced armor. He faces off against the Covenant to find the Halo - a ring-shaped space station/super weapon created by an ancient and extinct race the Covenant worship as gods.
He is joined by a new character known as Quan Ah, devised specifically for the series. She is played by Yerin Ha and depicts a shrewd audacious 16-year old from the Outer Colonies, fighting alongside Master Chief to fulfil her own destiny. The series will also feature Californication’s Natascha McElhone as the brilliant yet conflicted and inscrutable creator of the Spartan super soldiers Dr. Halsey, Jen Taylor (“Halo” game series, RWBY) as Cortana, the most advanced AI in human history, and potentially the key to the survival of the human race. Additional stars include Fargo’s Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi (“Fire”), Natasha Culzac (“The Witcher”), Olive Gray (“Half Moon Investigations”), Yerin Ha (“Reef Break”), Bentley Kalu (“Avengers: Age of Ultron”), Kate Kennedy (“Catastrophe”), Charlie Murphy (“Peaky Blinders”) and Danny Sapani (“Penny Dreadful”). Also joining the cast as original characters are Ryan McParland (“6Degrees”), Burn Gorman (“The Expanse”) and Fiona O’Shaughnessy (“Nina Forever”).

“Halo” reinvented how people think about video games and has grown into a global entertainment phenomenon, having sold more than 82 million copies worldwide and grossing more than $6 billion in lifetime total sales revenue.

Six sequels followed so far, the latest going live in December 2021, which together developed the Halo universe with new characters and spin-offs that breathed new life and more story into the game.

HALO is produced by SHOWTIME®️ in association with 343 Industries, along with Amblin Television. HALO is executive produced by Steven Kane, alongside Steven Spielberg, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey for Amblin Television in association with 343 Industries, director Otto Bathurst and Toby Leslie for One Big Picture, and Kyle Killen and Scott Pennington for Chapter Eleven. Kiki Wolfkill, Frank O’Connor and Bonnie Ross serve as executive producers for 343 Industries. The series is distributed internationally by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
