Recently, Chery released sales data. Its sales volume was 83,678 units in July, up 49.6% year on year. From January to July, the cumulative sales volume was 508,415 units, up 74.6% year on year. The overseas export sales in July were 26,624 units, up 194.8% year on year; the cumulative exports in the period from January to July were 145,367 units, up 172.9% year on year, which is another record high.
With the continuous expansion of Chery in the overseas market, the product iteration is accelerated, and the main models continue to be sold well. After the export of 22,000 units in April and 24,000 units in June, which successively broke Chery's 20-year monthly export record, Chery exported 27,000 units in July, a new record for the third time.
In Chile, Chery outsold Toyota and Hyundai in July, up 2,255 percent year on year, ranking second among all brands and first among Chinese brands; its SUV models accounted for 17.5 percent of the market share, ranking first for seven consecutive months. In Brazil, Chery continued to maintain TOP 10 sales in July, with a year-on-year growth of 158% and a market share of 2.32%, creating a new sales record. In Russia, its sales hit another record high in July, up 377% year on year.
The outstanding performance of Chery in the global market is attributed to its mastery of core technologies and its insistence on independent research and development, which is known as "Technology Chery". In terms of traditional fuel technology, Chery is the first Chinese automaker to master engine, gearbox, chassis and platform technology through independent innovation. In terms of new energy technology, Chery launched EQ1, the first pure electric model of a Chinese car brand with a lightweight aluminum body. In terms of intelligent technology, Chery has released the intelligent brand strategy "CHERY LION". At present, the L2.5 autonomous driving technology has been used for mass-produced, and the L4 highly autonomous driving technology is planned to be implemented in 2025.
