To celebrate Saudi National Day, InterContinental Red Sea Resort invites families to enjoy a long weekend surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of Shura Island. From September 23 to 26, 2026, the resort presents a special program filled with experiences that embody the spirit of Saudi culture and bring families together in a distinctive festive atmosphere, set against the exceptional landscapes of the Red Sea.
The resort is transformed into a festive setting for Saudi National Day, complemented by a selection of live entertainment, cultural activities, and traditional arts workshops inspired by the Kingdom’s heritage. Guests can also explore the island, unwind beside its turquoise waters, or enjoy peaceful moments together along pristine beaches and breathtaking horizons, while daily live music performances add further energy to the atmosphere.
Each evening, the celebrations continue across the resort’s restaurants and venues. Darin Restaurant hosts Oud Nights, featuring live performances that create a special ambiance during dinner. Ardo Restaurant presents Latin Nights, combining live dance performances with the vibrant rhythms of percussion instruments. Meanwhile, The 305, the adults-only beachfront venue, hosts Sun, Sea & Music, featuring waterfront musical evenings by DJs in a contemporary setting inspired by Saudi National Day celebrations.
The experience is complemented throughout the resort by a selection of dishes inspired by Saudi cuisine, along with special in-room festive touches created exclusively for the occasion, adding a distinctive atmosphere to every moment of the stay.
Savsha stands out as one of the resort’s most innovative food and beverage creations. This distinctive Saudi-inspired drink is made from ground date palm fronds. Naturally caffeine-free and rich in antioxidants and dietary fiber, its earthy flavors give it a unique character as an alternative to matcha, drawing inspiration from one of the natural resources closely associated with the Kingdom’s identity.
To celebrate Saudi National Day, Murma Restaurant introduces a limited-edition Savsha XL Cookie, priced at SAR 75, combining matcha caramel made from date palm fronds with dates, pecans, and white chocolate. The restaurant also presents The Kingdom Cookie, priced at SAR 50, featuring a design inspired by the map of Saudi Arabia. It is filled with chocolate ganache infused with Saudi spices and decorated by hand with Saudi-inspired patterns. The cookies are available in limited quantities.
The celebrations also extend to the guest rooms with the Palm Oasis dessert, a chocolate palm tree decorated with Medjool dates that guests can pick directly from the tree. In the evening, the turndown service adds another special touch with the Saudi Puzzle, a handmade four-piece shortbread creation, with each piece representing a different Saudi value.
Families can enjoy experiences designed for different age groups. The Planet Trekkers Kids’ Club welcomes younger guests into a world of fun, creativity, and discovery, along with complimentary access to the Splash Park. Children aged 4 to 12 can take part in two daily sessions featuring a variety of activities, from sand art and treasure hunts to wall climbing and dance parties.
